JUSTIN BIEBER ARRESTED FOR DUI

On Behalf of | Jan 28, 2014 | Criminal Law

Even pop singers like Justin Bieber cannot escape from the long arm of the law when it comes to DUI. Arresting Officer Cosnery pulled over the pop singer around 4:13 a.m. on January 23, 2014, in Miami Beach, Florida.

The officer smelled alcohol on Bieber’s breath and noted by witnessing Justin’s movements, that he appeared to be drunk. Allegedly, Bieber was drag racing a yellow Lamborghini down a residential Miami Beach street. Once in police custody, he also failed the administered drug test. He was also said to have been incoherent at the time of his arrest; he also lacked a valid driver’s license.

Bieber was supposedly driving so fast, that it took a while for the police to catch up with him. Model Chantal Jeffries was allegedly a passenger in the vehicle with Mr. Bieber at the time of the aforementioned events. It seems that others were also with Mr. Bieber at the time, including singer Khalil and Mr. Bieber’s own father. The Bieber “motorcade” had blocked off part of a Miami street with their cars.

The 19-year-old Canadian singer has been acting increasingly erratic as of late, though his grandfather says that he’s “just doing what kids of that age do” – except that his every move is scrutinized by millions o people around the world. It may be that the pressure of having one’s every move analyzed is getting to him.
