NJPD OFFICER KILLED IN READ END COLLISION

An on-duty NJPD officer clocking for speeders was killed last month when a tractor-trailer vehicle rear-ended his parked car on a highway shoulder, without attempting to stop prior to the impact - according to the roadway evidence at the scene. At the time of his death, Officer Christopher Goodell, 32, was the second officer to perish within the line of duty that month, said prosecutors.
