TOMS RIVER BANK ROBBERS AT LARGE

On Behalf of | Jan 20, 2014 | Criminal Law

Toms River law enforcement is still searching for the men who successfully robbed two banks within the space of 90 minutes! They made off with an undisclosed sum of money.

It’s not clear yet whether the robberies were separate, or if they were committed in tandem, purposefully planned, with the men in collusion. Toms Rover Chief Mitch Little and the authorities are asking for the public to come forward with any information in order to help identify the suspects. Their photographs, as the banks had surveillance cameras, were released Monday, January 27.

TOMS RIVER NEW JERSEY ROBBERIES

The first robbery occurred at 4:36 pm. One of the male suspects handed a note to a teller at the TD Bank branch on Mule Road. He demanded money, and then fled the scene. He appeared to be a black male in his late 20s or early 30s, wearing a green jacket with the hood on, a wool hat, and sunglasses to cover the eyes.

The second robbery was at Santander Bank on Route 37. In this instance, the suspect also appeared to be in his late 20s to early 30s, but is a white male. His eyes, too, appear to be covered by a black stocking cap.

Even though surveillance cameras have footage of the two bank robbers, they are still difficult to identify. The man who robbed TD Bank, however, is more visible in the still photographs. You can see his mouth, which can be helpful in identifying him.
