GUN LAWS IN NEW JERSEY
New Jersey law requires any weapons holder to have a lifetime firearm purchaser card to purchase or own rifles, shotguns, handguns, and ammunition. Owners must also have a separate permit from a local police department for each handgun. Those permits must be renewed within 90 days of expiration. Handguns can only be purchased every 30 days.
